Sona, Soraka, Taric, Zilean, and Nami are all different levels of beginner-friendly. Taric and Soraka are probably the best options in this list, and they both represent good support archetypes — the melee support who can tank some damage and the caster support who can make your pain go away.
As a beginner, I recommend you stay away from overly aggressive support champions. While Blitzcrank, Leona, Morgana, Volibear, and others can all be very fun to play in the support role, they often end up being high-risk high-reward options. Meaning that making a mistake with those champions can be deadly. Especially with Leona, given her proclivity to hurl herself at opponents. Do give her a try when you are more experienced though — aggressive supports are my favorite type to have around when I’m playing ADC.
For now, give Soraka and Taric a try, and stick to the one you like the most. They’re both cheap champions to acquire, making them ideal choices for people just getting into the game. And if you are looking for experienced players who can help give you an LoL boost, try visiting this site.
