However, if you live in a skiing area or work at a ski slope, you can most definitely get in shape by skiing. A few years back I got a job at a ski resort at Aspen Mountain and it included a free lift pass. Every day after my shift I spent 2-3 hours on the slopes. In just under 3 months I lost 22lbs.
