However, this definition means that a lot of professions that people count as gigs can be considered careers, depending on how you approach them. If you have a gig driving for a rideshare app, for example, that’s not a career — there isn’t really much room to grow. But if you then decide to use your experience to buy a small fleet of cars and rent them out to other rideshare drivers, then you have a career as an entrepreneur on your hands.
