Need to check the registration of a company

It’s quite tricky to answer this question without knowing where you registered your business. If you’re US-based, check with the registry of businesses in your state. Make sure to check with the state where your business was incorporated, not the state where it’s operating.

If you’re in the UK, you can do a quick check with Companies House. They have a service called “Find and Update Company Information”, where you can type in your company name, number, or officer name. You’ll see a list of results, and once you have found your company, you can choose the “view PDF” option to see a copy of your digital certificate.

It’s always a good idea to check your company’s registration, especially if you paid someone to do it for you. However, if you worked with a reputable agency, you need not ask! For instance, Douglas Company Services processes company registrations in the UK and will send you all the digital or hard copies of all the legal documents.

If you’re based in the UK, you can get information about a company by accessing Companies House, which is UK’s public authority that is in charge of handling and managing the registration of companies. You can get information such as: a company’s registered address and the date it was incorporated, the officers of that company, or whether they are the nominee company or actually existing in the UK and other details for free.

If you’re in the United States, you might have to look at several agencies and institutions like the SBA or Small Business Association, or at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. There are also state registries in every state that you can refer to.

If you’re thinking of setting up a company in the UK, you will need assistance in taking care of the process of registering your company with Companies House.
