Winter in Canada is really challenging because of the mold growth in houses. Mold can grow only in the presence of enough humidity, but when the humidity is present, it flourishes. Local Business Listings

I’ve lived in Ontario my whole life and I’ve lived in a few homes that have a mold issue. Mold can grow in many climates, so I don’t think it has much to do with the weather, I simply think that it has to do with the age of the property and how well ventilated it is/has been.

If you’re buying a property, you may get lucky and find a completely mold-free house. However, if the house you’re interested in does show signs of mold, I wouldn’t call it a deal-breaker. In the past, I’ve hired a Mississauga Mold Removal company that has successfully stemmed the spread and growth of the mold and it never came back. I found the company quite easily by searching for mold removal Mississauga online.

Check before you buy the property that the mold isn’t too widespread to rectify and you should be fine to go ahead and purchase the property and get the mold treated before you move in.
