I hoover my carpet every week. Is a professional cleaning service really necessary?

Whether or not you need a professional carpet cleaning service depends on a few factors, including:

  • The type of carpet you have. Some carpets, such as wool, are more delicate and require professional cleaning more often.
  • The amount of traffic your carpet gets. If you have a high-traffic area, such as a family room or entryway, you may need to have your carpet professionally cleaned more often to remove dirt and stains.
  • The presence of pets or children. If you have pets or children, your carpet is more likely to get dirty and stained, so you may need to have it professionally cleaned more often.

If you’re not sure whether or not you need a professional carpet cleaning service, it’s always best to consult with a professional. They can assess your carpet and give you an opinion on how often you should have it cleaned.

Here are some of the benefits of having your carpet professionally cleaned:

  • Deep cleaning. A professional carpet cleaner will use a high-powered machine to remove dirt, dust, and allergens from deep within your carpet.
  • Stain removal. Professional carpet cleaners have the tools and expertise to remove even the most stubborn stains.
  • Odor removal. Carpets can absorb odors from pets, cooking, and other sources. A professional carpet cleaner can remove these odors and leave your carpet smelling fresh.
  • Restoration. If your carpet is damaged, a professional carpet cleaner can often restore it to its original condition.

If you’re looking to keep your carpet looking and smelling its best, consider having it professionally cleaned on a regular basis.

I used to be of this opinion too until I realized how much dirt and bacteria can be trapped deep within the layers of a carpet. Don’t get me wrong, doing a carpet hoover cleaning every week reduces the spread of bacteria in your home but it does not completely eliminate them.

Carpets work as filters for absorbing lint, spills and dirt and like all things, they have a limit to what they can absorb. When a carpet is left unattended, surface cleaning becomes inadequate and trapped dirt and bacteria particles float up back into the air creating room for respiratory infections and contamination.

A reliable cleaning solution agency will take extra care to deeply sanitize your carpets, sofas and other surfaces that are susceptible to trapping particles for a longer-lasting freshness and a safer environment for you.
