Great question! I didn’t have a clue about that kind of stuff either when I first started driving – I was completely ignorant when it came to know about car parts and how everything works.
Here’s what I did:
First, I read through an article on digmyride.com to learn about all the major car parts in order to get a good foundation of knowledge on the basics. It stood me in good stead and has helped me to problem solve whenever my car broke down or had any issues ever since.
I’ve slowly picked up everything else along the way. through watching Top Gear and other car-related shows, watching YouTube videos, and speaking to mechanics.
Unless you’re planning on being a mechanic yourself, you don’t really need to be an expert, so just reading through some articles and watching a few Youtube videos should suffice. You’ll learn as you go, don’t worry!
