How painful is dry needling?

It’s not painful because the procedure starts with anesthetics. The ointment or gel-like numbing cream is applied half an hour before starting the procedure. It makes you feel no sensation.

Then, the ultrafine needs are used to puncture onto the surface, which feels like being stung. The microscopic needles do not cause much pain. This pain is momentary and hardly felt during the procedure. Simply put, it’s absolutely bearable.
