Nothing is more boring than waiting for paint to dry – hence the saying. Waiting for the color to dry in your bathroom can affect how quickly you can replace your fixtures, mirrors, and other components that hang on the wall. Depending on the kind of paint that you use, it can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. If you try to replace your fixtures too quickly, you risk paint transfer, and the paint is more prone to nicks and gouges.

There are a few things that you can do to help the paint in your bathroom dry a bit faster. If you have windows in your bathroom, open them up – just be sure that dirt and debris can’t enter the space and that it isn’t too humid outside. You can also place a fan in the room to generate more airflow. These two methods can help shave off a couple of days if you have paint that requires a longer dry time.

If you are wondering about how long you have to wait to take a shower you paint your bathroom, Simully.com has a guide that covers this subject. They also cover a variety of other interesting topics, so if you were ever curious which fridge for dry aging is the best, you’ll find it there.
